Collaboration is and always has been the name of the game to success in business. Today is no exception and collaboration has become so much more easier.
For less than a decade ago we did not have access to collaboration tools like we have today. Then it was just a dream. Nowadays every business has fast, easy and really inexpensive access to collaboration technology. And imagine, all this power is at our fingertips!
I've found working with social media sites such as facebook.com, twitter.com, linkedin.com and so many more is a fantastic opportunity to communicate with like-minded businesspeople and customers/clients alike.

Where to find the time?
Good question. The obvious answer is through collaboration. It requires prioritizing time and a realistic long term view and expectations on return on investment. There's simply no room for instant gratification in the real world of business collaboration!
I put down an hour a day writing articles, blogs, newsletters and search engine optimization to name just a few. I try and help others where I'm able. In return it's built long term trust, strong business relationships and ultimately profitable business referrals.
My tip is to divide your time so you have at least an hour a day to collaborate and here are a few starters:
- Start a blog
- Write an article
- Use outreach tools such as email campaigns
- Get started with Search Engine Optimization
- Participate in Groups and Forums
- Attend business referral Groups or start one yourself
